53cm Ken Bird c.1979 Vintage Step-Through Road Bike

One half of the famous Bird Brothers, Ken Bird was known mostly for his supreme wheel building skills, but he also put his name on some very fine bikes. He never built frames himself, but notable frame builders were commisioned to build frames for him; Bill Philbrook, Charles Roberts & his brother Alec Bird the most famous amongst them.

This one is a very late 70s step-through road bike, presented in luscious black & gold, with all its original kit. It's a very well cared for classic, in many ways.

As with all our bikes, it's been fully stripped, inspected & professionally polished & re-built. The frame is straight & true without any dents or dings - please inspect the photos for cosmetic condition as we photograph the bikes so you can see the exact condition of the bike before purchasing.
