Big is an understatement here. At a whopping 30 x 12cm in size, and weighing in at 1kg, it looks like it should be designed for a more demanding task.
This is just a corkscrew, but not just any corkscrew. It's the product of a genius, Tullio Campagnolo, who way back in 1966 decided to put an end to the awkward job of opening his delectable bottles of fine Italian wine. This is when the patented system was born, with the telescopic, self-aligning cover that keeps the screw mechanism in the centre of the corkscrew at all times. On top of this, the sheer size & weight of the Campagnolo Big Corkscrew allow the bottle to be opened easily, without disturbing the sediment.
This design has not been bettered since the day it was conceived.
Yes, it's extravagant, but that reflects the great man himself. One for those who are serious about both cycling and wine. A great combination.
