The Lazzaretti brothers Remo and Romolo started their bike building business in Rome in 1916. Romolo was the racer, who had some success internationally and Remo was the businessman who's accumen helped their little shop thrive. Now two shops and still selling bikes, the business did not produce a lot of handbuilt frames, though what examples there are are very nicely made and of an excellent quality.
This stunning yellow, grey and chrome Lazzaretti is probably built from high end Columbus tubing and utilises the aerodynamic fork crown and chainstays from the Columbus Air group. With custom pantographed lugs, seatstay caps, bttom bracket shell and head tube this frame wears its makers marks proudly. Close clearances and a low weight for the frame size imply this is a thoroughbred race frame.
The frame's been carefully checked by one of our mechanics to confirm the alignment's correct and there's no damage to the threads. If there are any minor issues worth noting we will do so in the overview section below. Please take a good look at the detailed photos so you can see the cosmetic condition of the frame before you buy.OVERVIEW
