Bianchi is the world's oldest bicycle manufacturer, starting in Italy in 1885 and still going strong today. Bianchi not only have a long history but an enviable race pedigree too having been ridden to great success by Fausto Coppi and Marco Pantani as well as many more, and they are still represented on the Pro Tour circuit. Often easy to spot thanks to their distinctive celeste paint, Bianchi have a special place in the heart of collectors and vintage bike enthusiasts the world over.

Finished in classic celeste, this 1980s Bianch is constructed from Columbus Formula Two double butted tubing and has a typically racy feel to it. Clearly very finely made, this frame from Bianchi's performance series shares the same DNA as their race-winning team bikes. Despite having no model decal on the frame we believe this to be a 1987 Bianchi 'Nuovo Alloro'. The decals and paint are showing their age but the paint chips do reveal the chrome plating underneath! A sign of a higher end frame, one that will no doubt be a joy to ride once built.

If you're taking part in L'Eroica or a similar vintage event, this frame is of the correct age, so you won't be disqualified for being a rule breaker!

The frame's been carefully checked by one of our mechanics to confirm the alignment's correct and there's no damage to the threads. If there are any minor issues worth noting we will do so in the overview section below. Please take a good look at the detailed photos so you can see the cosmetic condition of the frame before you buy.
