Built in Japan by Kawamura but an American brand, Nishiki made high quality everyday bikes for the US market through the 70s and 80s, but were also distributed throughout Europe in the same period. Designed to compete with American and European built bicycles during the bike boom, Nishiki were able to deliver mass produced bikes of an excellent quality and at an affordable price.

The Arrow Speed was a mid-range European market model specced with a host of Japanese parts from Suntour, Suzue and Araya on a Japanese made butted steel frame. With ample tyre clearance and a comfortable geometry they make a lovely every day bike or commuter.

If you're taking part in L'Eroica or any other vintage event, this bike is of the correct age, so you won't be disqualified for breaking the rules!

The bike's been fully dis-assembled and professionally re-built by one of our mechanics. The frame's straight and true, and everything's been carefully cleaned and re-lubricated where necessary. If there are any minor issues worth noting we will do so in the overview section below. Please take a good look at the detailed photos so you can see the cosmetic condition of the bike before you buy.
