Built from Reynolds 501 Magnum over-sized and butted tubing, this early 90s Carrera Katmandu is a classic example of a mass-produced MTB from that period. In a very large size, the fatter tubes come into their own helping to keep everything stiff, and results in a really solid looking and feeling frame. The frame is designed for cantilevers and has good clearances for wide 26" tyres and rack and mudguard mounts - a good candidate for an urban bike conversion.
The frame's been carefully checked by one of our mechanics to confirm the alignment's correct and there's no damage to the threads. If there are any minor issues worth noting we will do so in the overview section below. Please take a good look at the detailed photos so you can see the cosmetic condition of the frame before you buy.
