Raleigh are one of the oldest and most well-known bike companies in the world, thanks to their huge success with early safety bicycles; lightweight Roadsters; cult classics like the RSW and Chopper, and some big professional bike race wins in the 70s and 80s. Beginning in Nottingham in the late 1880s, the company expanded rapidly and by 1913 it was the largest manufacturer of bicycles in the world, though production slowed down through the two World Wars, by the late 1940s the lightweight Roadster was selling phenomonally well in the US and their high profile continued in to the 1970s. Raleigh bought out several smaller brands over the years adding Carlton, Humber and BSA to their portfolio, they were themselves then bought by competitor Tube Investments creating the massive Ti-Raleigh business in 1960. Raleigh's racing success arguably reached a peak in 1980 when Joop Zoetemelk won the Tour de France riding an iconic red Team Ti-Raleigh, they continued to sponsor road teams and also had some success racing MTBs in the 90s with Dave Baker.
The 1990s incarnation of Raleigh's Special Products Division (known as RSP for short), was a cutting edge bike building facility that specialized in mixed material bonded bikes labelled Dyna-Tech. The bonding process allowed RSP to mix and match titanium, lightweight steel and Metal Matrix in various combinations to offer the best qualities of each material where it was needed, and still keep the price down. The bonded Dyna-Tech frames turned out to be extremely versatile and were ridden to victory in MTB, cyclocross, track and road races across the World. RSP also offered their by now legendary hand-built steel touring and randonneur frames, all from their Nottingham factory.
The 1993 Dyna-Tech MT4 was a frame only option from Raleigh's Special Products Division. Comprising titanium main tubes, chainstays and dropouts, with Mn-Mo (Manganese-Molybdenum) seat stays bonded into specialy designed lugs. The frame was designed for a short travel suspension fork or suspension corrected rigid fork, as expected with all that titanium it is super light too. The metallic sparkle paint work is exceptional, this bike having once been partially built but never ridden, it was someone's highly specced build at one time but never made it out of the showroom.
The frame's been carefully checked by one of our mechanics to confirm the alignment's correct and there's no damage to the threads. If there are any minor issues worth noting we will do so in the overview section below. Please take a good look at the detailed photos so you can see the cosmetic condition of the frame before you buy.OVERVIEW

A London institution, Condor Cycles have had premises on Gray's Inn Road for nearly 75 years, having produced hand made bikes for pop stars, olympians and world champions alike. Originally a Triumph dealer, the shop that was to become Condor Cycles was started by Monty Young with some help from Harry Rensch, building hand made frames just down the road from Pedal Pedlar HQ back in 1948. After a brief hiatus for Monty to do some national service, Condor employed the highly skilled BIll Hurlow to build their bikes in 1954, continueing to do so until 1968. With intricately cut fancy lugs the Hurlow built Condors are now highly prized. Through the next few decades Condor continued to nurture new British racing talent and build high end bikes, they also managed to keep up with the industry and adapt their bikes to the new materials making bikes from aluminium and carbon. Despite a shift to mass producing bikes in the far east, Condor still produce custom and off the peg steel frames at their facility in Italy.
Though best known for their road bikes Condor built a number of mountain bikes through the 1980s, offering custom and semi-custom options. This frameset probably dates from 1989, the Reynolds 531 All Terrain decal in this style was used up until then and the frame arrived with us with a a few first generation Campagnolo Euclid parts, which was available at the time. As you'd expect from a frame builder of Condor's repute it is very nicely made and would have been a very expensive custom bike back in the day. There is a small dent on the top tube and some slight deformation to the seat tube below the seat clamp, none of which affect the structural integrity.
The frame's been carefully checked by one of our mechanics to confirm the alignment's correct and there's no damage to the threads. Though they only have a relatively short history, dating back to 1977, Diamond Back became big players in the bike industry by targeting the burgeoning BMX and MTB scenes. Located in California they were ideally placed to be early adopters to both the small wheel and the 26" wheel revolutions, and sold a huge number of bikes as a result. Probably best known for their DBR series of high end mountain bikes, Diamond Back built some really interesting, cutting edge bikes out of titanium, aluminium, steel and even welded carbon fibre.
The Ascent has been in the Diamond Back MTB line up since the mid 1980s when the company were one of the early adopters of the mountain bike scene. Though an entry level bike the Ascent was built with the same DNA as the higher end bikes in the line up, sharing geometries and frame design with more expensive bikes. Ever-present in the line up for over a decade the Ascent was the introduction to mountain biking for thousands across the world.

Lexpres was a small cycle shop in Antwerp, Belgium that built (or had built for them) bikes bearing their name in the late 1970s and early 1980s. There are very few examples of their bikes still in circulation, but it seems that track bikes were a speciality.
It is built from lightweight but strong Ishiwata 022 tubing with Shimano horizontal dropouts and Bocama lugs, and is not drilled for a brake. The frame is stamped '77' on the bottom bracket shell which given the frame details suggest this could well be the year of manufacture. With it's original paintwork and transfers this classic frameset is ready to be built up and put back to work on the boards.

Cannondale have been building their distinctive aluminium bikes since 1983, and from humble beginnings, making backpacking kit out of a small shed in Connecticut they have grown into a hugely succesful international bike company. At a time when nearly every bicycle, performance or otherwise was built from steel Cannondale pushed forward with aluminium in a bid to save weight and make their bikes stiffer, which they claimed benefitted touring, racing and mountain bikes. Though their orignal focus was touring and mountain bikes, Cannondale started getting into professional road riding in the early 90s enjoying a great deal of success since, notably with Mario Cipollini and the Saeco team.
This M200 SE was built in the USA from Cannondale's CAAD1 aluminium tubing resulting in a lighter and stiffer frame. Finished in viper red or team red, this rigid frameset was still available in the mid nineties when Cannonadle were devolping some of the most interesting (and fastest) suspension bikes available
This 1996 M200 SE has a more relaxed geometry than their XC race bikes, it also has plenty of clearance , plus rack and mudguard mounts so will make a great all round bike or commuter.

Mino Denti was a great Italian racer who rode for some fantastic teams throughout the 1960s, he would probably be classed as a super-domestique these days as he was often found riding for the bigger names on his team. After his racing career ended in the late 1960s, Mino worked in the management side of professional cycling before taking the well-trodden path to starting his own bicycle business in 1979. Unlike most of his contemporaries, Mino decided he would do the building himself, and whilst there are very few Mino built frames out there, they're all beautifully finished and often sports unusual features such as hand-crimped tubes or bent seat tubes.
At just 48cm, this Mino Denti Mistral is just about as small a vintage road bike frame as you are likely to find. Built from super lightweight Columbus butted tubing and with aerodynamics in mind, it probably dates from the late 1980s. The shifter mounts are located on top of the downtube and the cables are routed into the downtube, then out again by the bottom bracket where they loop round on the outside of the frame to the derailleurs. The most interesting and unique feature here though has to be the Columbus Air flattened fork and chainstays for super aero appeal, and of course the short head tube promotes a streamlined head down/bum up position on the bike.
If you're taking part in L'Eroica or a similar vintage event, this frame is of the correct age, so you won't be disqualified for being a rule breaker!

Bianchi is the world's oldest bicycle manufacturer, starting in Italy in 1885 and still going strong today. Bianchi not only have a long history but an enviable race pedigree too having been ridden to great success by Fausto Coppi and Marco Pantani as well as many more, and they are still represented on the Pro Tour circuit. Often easy to spot thanks to their distinctive celeste paint, Bianchi have a special place in the heart of collectors and vintage bike enthusiasts the world over.
This early 2000s aluminium Bianchi frame and fork still shows the vestiges of an older time before Bianchi started building bikes in Taiwan and modern parts completely took over. Still made in Italy, the Pro Team Race is built from 7000 series alloy for the frame with a 6061 alloy fork, held together with a semi-integrated headset. The frame has braze on mounts for downtube shifters and is spaced for modern 10/11/12 speed groupsets, the fork steerer is standard 1 1/8" threadless.
The frame's been carefully checked by one of our mechanics to confirm the alignment's correct and there's no damage to the threads. Quite possibly the most sought after name on the vintage cycling scene, Colnago earned the status due to the genius of it’s founder, Ernesto Colnago. From the humble beginnings in the 1950s, Colnago became the maker that everyone looked to, and the bike that every cyclist wanted to own. This is likely due to their dominance on the world racing circuit, and in no doubt due to the success of the long standing partnership with the great Eddy Merckx.
Introduced in 1983, the Nuovo Mexico utilised crimped tubing which was the precursor to the famous 'Gilco' tubing that imitated Colnago's club logo. An updated version of the Super Profil, the Nuovo Mexico had double crimps on the down tube to aid stiffness and was built from specially selected Columbus tubes. Less fancy than the Arabesque which shared the same tube profile, the Nuovo Mexico was a pure race bike and was the choice of several professional teams in the early 1980s.
This particular Nuovo Mexico is a stunning example of the first version, with flat seat stay caps and a very classy red wine to silver metallic fade paintjob. One of the best bikes you could buy in 1983, originally this would have been specced with Campagnolo Super Record or even better still, their legendary 50th Anniversary group set.
