Cable Routing - non-aero means the cables come out at the top of the brake levers, meaning the cables are on show. With aero levers the cable comes out of a small hole by the handlebar, allowing the cables to be hidden under the handlebar tape.
Bar Clamp Size - this should be close to the outside diameter of your handlebars at the point the brake levers will be fitted. This will rarely present a problem with drop bars as 23.8 mm is standard, and a 24.2 mm clamp will fit just fine as they do have a little adjustment in them. There are some older sizes to watch out for but these will be noticeably different.

Although carefully badged up as a Moser, we're not convinced this road frame actually is one underneath the 1980s fade paintjob. Regardless of who actually built this frame, it's been well looked after and is rather finely built. The chrome fork has a Cinelli style crown and the frame is complete with a braze-on gear hanger, spoiler rear brake bridge and a British thread BB. There is a Columbus Aelle decal present, and the 27.0 mm seat post size and overall frame weight suggest this is right, making it a great frame for a period 80s build.
The frame's been carefully checked by one of our mechanics to confirm the alignment's correct and there's no damage to the threads. If there are any minor issues worth noting we will do so in the overview section below. Please take a good look at the detailed photos so you can see the cosmetic condition of the frame before you buy.OVERVIEW

Olagnero were a small boutique shop in Milan whose frames were allegedly built by legendary contract builder Vanni Losa, also of Milan. This frame is built from Columbus Aelle, and it proudly states 'made in Italy' on it, and the lug cutout is a similar shape to Losa's 'V' signature, but we can't be entirely sure it's a Losa built frame. Whoever the builder, they've done a fine job, with neat internally routed rear brake, rear entry seat stay lug and Cinelli fork crown make for a very refined frame.
The frame's been carefully checked by one of our mechanics to confirm the alignment's correct and there's no damage to the threads. The Professional was the name given to the high end race frames built by Batavus through the 1970s, 80s and into the 90s. They were available in a wide range of tube sets and configurations throughout that period, and often built from the top tube sets from Reynolds (531C and 531P) or Columbus, including SL, SP and SLX. The frames were a direct competitor to the famous Gazelle Champion Mondial, and they stand up rather well we must say.
This particular Professional is probably from the mid to late 1980s, built from Reynolds 531 'Professional' (or 531P) which was the lightest version of 531 available at the time. This frame is also built with the neat minimal Cinelli fork crown, a Dardanne BB shell and Campagnolo dropouts, resulting in a very well put together frame.
If you're taking part in L'Eroica or a similar vintage event, this frame is of the correct age, so you won't be disqualified for being a rule breaker!
The frame's been carefully checked by one of our mechanics to confirm the alignment's correct and there's no damage to the threads. Benotto have an enviable race pedigree having been ridden to World Championship, one day classic and stage race victories by such legends as Francesco Moser and Freddy Maertens. Like other top Italian marques a Benotto is often instantly recognisable by the colour, the ‘Champagne’ grey finish being used for their top bikes for many years. As well as producing finely made race bikes in Italy Benotto produced frames in Mexico and were extremely popular in South America. Benotto are also well known for their shiny bar tape which was available in a wide range of colours and was extremely popular through the 70s and 80s.
Built from Oria's RANF double butted chromoly tube set (similar to Columbus SLX or TSX), this new old stock frame is ready to be built up into a period race machine or retro-mod. With classic Benotto geometry and attention to detail this is a fine example of an Italian frame of the era, with diamond shaped chainstays and internally routed rear brake cable. The model may be a 3000 but the lack of pantographed parts and a frame number make it hard to correctly identify, regardless it's rare to find a frame of this calibre still unbuilt after 30 plus years!
If you're taking part in L'Eroica or a similar vintage event, this frame is of the correct age, so you won't be disqualified for being a rule breaker!
The frame's been carefully checked by one of our mechanics to confirm the alignment's correct and there's no damage to the threads.
